Pro Prohibition Argument
Gambling is immoral and preys on the weak and feeble-minded in our society.
We as parents have enough to deal with in every day society; drugs, alcohol,
guns; do we really have to deal with the burden of another vice, gambling,
and one that is available readily on the Internet?
Online casinos are corrupt operations. They are run by the mob and other
organized crime rackets. They use fancy graphics and promises of large
bonuses to lure people in, where they can lose thousands of dollars in a
night. These casinos make it extremely easy for people to use their credit
cards. College students could conceivably lose $10,000 in one night if their
credit card limit was high enough. This just isn't right.
I fully support the government's attempt to ban gambling. I think they
should take it even further and shut down the casinos in Las Vegas as well.
Casinos in Las Vegas are just as evil, promising people free food and
buffets, in order for them to lose as much money as possible in casinos.
Gambling as a whole is immoral, and gambling online should be banned as soon
as possible.
